Friendly Visiting
If you are an older adult who is unable to get out of the house to visit with friends, we can connect you to a new friend. We match you with volunteers with shared interests.
Volunteers visit once a week, and a typical visit lasts one hour. You and a volunteer can enjoy activities together such as playing board games, sharing stories, or discussing books, music, or current events.
Sunnyside Community Services’ Friendly Visiting Program is supported by the NYC Department for the Aging.
